Vision Statement of Hummelstown United Church of Christ
We are a vibrant and progressive Christian community embracing inclusivity and diversity with all who seek to enrich their spiritual journey. Using the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Still Speaking God, we seek to engage the world through worship, education, ministry, mission, and love.

Does HUCC have Communion?  Yes, we have communion one time per month and all are welcome. Please join us at the table of Christ you do not need to be a member, simply come and worship.

Are children welcome in worship? Children, infants, toddlers are welcome at all services. It is important for families to worship together and we want to hear their joyful noise. Don’t feel your child must be absolutely quiet or still, for we are glad to have children – and their wiggles, giggles and squiggles – as part of our community and worship life. Color sheets and other activities are available in the back of the sanctuary and from an usher if you’d like.

What time is worship? Worship is on:
Sunday 9:15 Faith Formation
Sunday 10:30 Worship Service

New to the area? At HUCC we can speak with you about the geographic area, directions, services you might need and we have a church office that can provide you further information about our services and pastoral leadership, affiliation, and board team members.

Do you have missions and or support social justice programs? Yes, we have community, local, regional and international missions services.  If you have a spiritual cause and want to share God’s work and or form a missions service please let us know so we can form a support for your service and have others join you.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. ~~ Jesus Christ (John 15:12)

Recognizing there are those who have known the pain of discrimination in the church and society, we invite everyone to experience God’s love here.
The United Church of Christ of Hummelstown affirms all persons are created in the image of God and so welcome the full inclusion of all people in the communion, life, and ministries of this community of faith seekers. We celebrate and embrace diversity of faith journey, economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, national origin, age, relationship status, physical or mental ability, and political affiliation. We proclaim this statement of inclusion – no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.

Is HUCC handicap accessible? Yes. We have accessible parking in the lot and members are available assist you as needed. There is an accessible, all gender bathroom on the sanctuary level. An elevator is available to get to the lower level as well.

How should I dress? At HUCC we believe God is more concerned with our inner soul, therefore please come as you are. Some folks dress informal, some formal, just come as you are.
