Worship has for centuries been at the center of the Christian life.  Christian worship takes on many forms, but its primary focus is paying attention to our relationship to God.  Through the words of the liturgy, the music and hymns, readings from the Bible, quiet reflection and prayer, the thoughts of the pastor, and sacraments and symbols, we are reminded that God is the source of all blessings.

Each worship service is designed to open our heart and head to the presence and will of God in life.  Worship is central to the United Church of Christ of Hummelstown.

8:00 a..m.
If you are an early riser, like a little less formality, and enjoy gathering in a smaller group setting, this is the service for you.

10:30 a.m.
Following a regular order every Sunday, yet unique each week in words and thoughts, according to the lectionary Bible texts, this service also features music by one of the church choirs and special message for the children of the church.

The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on most second Sundays of each month. Every worshiper who wishes to receive the love of Christ into their lives is invited to receive the bread and juice offered from Christ’s table.

Children’s Church
During the 10:30 a.m. worship service, children ages 4 to 10 are invited to gather together to hear a special message from the pastor. Afterwards they go with adult leaders to further explore the worship theme for the day.

Holiday Services
Throughout the year, worship services are offered on special religious holidays (i.e. Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Easter dawn).  Watch the Upcoming Events sections of this website for announcements
