Does HUCC have Communion? Yes, we have communion typically once a month, most often on the second Sunday of the month. We practice an open table where all are welcome without exception, including children and first time visitors. Please join us at the table of Christ, simply come and worship.
Are children welcome in worship? Children, infants, toddlers are welcome at all services. It is important for families to worship together and we want to hear their joyful noise. Your family should NEVER feel left out or required to be absolutely quiet or still. We are glad to have kids – and their wiggles, giggles and squiggles – as part of our community and worship life. Color sheets, blocks and other activities are available in the back of the sanctuary and from an usher if you’d like.
Do you have missions or support social justice programs? Yes, we have community, local, regional and international missions services. For more details, check out our Outreach and Mission Gift Team information.
Do we have a music program? Yes, we have a weekly music program under the direction of our Music Director, Kristen Miller. Worship services include piano, organ, choir, and special music. The Bell Choir provides special music for worship throughout the year, under the direction of Bill Shumway. If interested please contact Kristen. Her email can be found on the contact us page. Please join us with your talents and fun spirit.
Is the building handicap accessible? Yes. We have accessible parking in the lot and ushers are available assist you as needed. There is an accessible, all gender bathroom on the sanctuary level. An elevator is available to get to the lower level and the sanctuary level from the outside of the building as well.
How should I dress? We believe God is more concerned with our inner soul, therefore please come as you are. Some folks dress informal, some formal, just come as you are.
Are you an Open & Affirming Church? Yes! All people are welcome to worship as God’s beloved children, without discrimination based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, race, national origin, age, relationship status, physical or mental ability, or political affiliation

Here is our covenant statement:
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. ~~ Jesus Christ (John 15:12)
Recognizing there are those who have known the pain of discrimination in the church and society, we invite everyone to experience God’s love here.
