Music is an important element of worship and celebration for our community. We strive for a flexible musical style centered around traditional hymn singing and offerings of the vocal choir, and the bell choir, and the chance to try something new as well. Through the music ministry of HUCC, we hope to celebrate our connections, share the vibrant and vital faith that is centered on God's love and feel present to each other. Our sanctuary is blessed to house a baby grand piano and an organ
Our vocal choir offers the congregation a centering moment for worship at many services. Through the selection of a variety of choral sources, we strive to connect the good news and celebration of the sprit, and provide space for all emotions to be felt in worship. Over the course of the year, our musical offerings find seasonal favorites and appreciation for grace and mercy woven into worship
The tradition of ringing church bells dates back to AD 400 when Paulinus of Nola first introduced bells in association with a church. We are privileged to continue the tradition through the musical offerings of our bell choir. Our volunteer bell choir members provide opportunities to engage worship as a meditative time in worship together versus a performance. Join us for the beautiful sounds on the next Bell Choir Sunday.
